I think my first project ever was a tree house that me, my best friend, and my sisters made out in the woods behind our house. We walked down to those tree forts every day, each time with new tools, a handful of nails, and any wood (including an old picnic table) to add to our creation. I have no idea how we got the top of that picnic table up into the ‘V’ of that tree, but we did, and it was amazing.
I never considered myself a risky person until my friend called me out a few months ago. I will take down a wall that is in the way with little to no thought on the implications. I will buy a random load of gorgeous wormy-maple boards and turn them into counter tops without having any knowledge of how to do it. I have four kids so we can appreciate right away that that in itself is a pretty risky move 🙂 I am also a Christ follower. And that too, I am finding is very risky in the world we live in.
This is a blog for anyone who appreciates a good DIY, and who doesn’t mind references to God or pictures of my kid along the way. Thank you for being here <3
