I wanted to make a bench seat to go over the mudroom cubbies, and I wanted to use salvaged wood. My neighbor and I headed to an antique store up the road and I noticed this beauty with a 1/2 off tag. It was just a tad longer and wider than I needed for my bench, but man it needed a lot of work. My friend did not see my vision, but I knew this was the piece I had been looking for. I paid my $40 and loaded her up, eager to start stripping away all that paint to see what was underneath.
